MPF to help open elementary schools in Afghanistan March, 2002 - War destroys hope, home, and schools! Children suffer. Loneliness and insecurity swallow them. Fear enters their hearts, and the future looks grim. The children of Afghanistan have been denied peace, innocence, and their right to grow in harmony. War has destroyed everything precious to them цветы Одинцово. Even worse, it has ruined the very few educational institutions that could have taught them right. MPF is supporting the efforts of the Jerrahi Order of America, with a long history of international relief efforts, to open the first contemporary primary school in Kabul. We already have a school building, have selected the teachers, and have identified a great number of students who will be attending. We have also provided for stationery and furniture, but lack the necessary funds to pay the salaries of teachers, provide food and other necessities to create a positive educational enviroment. In order to compete this project in three cities, we will need $478,000. At this time, we are raising $50,000. The first school in Kabul opened on March 22, 2002. Please honor us with your participation and help us accomplish this goal! Return home |
